All of us at the Kitsilano Showboat Society would like to thank the front line workers, medical staff and all those that are keeping our essential services operating during these troubling times.  Your heroic efforts have are greatly appreciated.

There is nothing more that we would love to do here at Showboat than to put on a summer season of shows dedicated to those that have taken care of us during this pandemic. Besides, I think we could really use some good news right now. However we must follow the guidelines of the City of Vancouver, the province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada to ensure the safety of our volunteers, performers and audiences. Unfortunately this means that we will have to postpone our 2020 Showboat season until the current situation improves so that we are able to have large gatherings again.

As a nonprofit, volunteer led organization this is a huge decision for us at Showboat. In our 85 years we have never missed a season as a result we are looking at ways we can bring online shows to you possibly via Facebook live.  We are also looking at fundraising options to help us survive the financial situation. If you have any experience in either of these areas and can offer some assistance please let me know. If you would like to make a donation to help us financially please donate through our Website KitsilanoShowboat.com

To all our talented Showboat performers, if you are able to do a 20 minute online show sponsored by the Kitsilano Showboat Society please let me know asap. We are still working out the mechanics of how to do this either via Facebook live, posted videos or some other means.

Please subscribe to our Facebook Page (Kitsilano Showboat) so you will be informed as we provide further updates and news.

The Kitsilano Showboat runs every summer from June to August at Kitsilano Beach. Our mission is two-fold: to provide free multi-cultural entertainment to Vancouver residents and visitors; and to provide a venue for entertainers of all ages and abilities to perform at a world class venue. Kitsilano Showboat has been a Vancouver tradition since 1935 and has had multiple generations of families perform on the Showboat stage. Some performers who got their start on the Showboat stage have even gone on to become world class entertainers!
