Kitsilano Showboat End of Season

Well……… that’s a wrap. As you well know by now due to the Covid-19 pandemic Showboat has been broadcasting our shows virtually every Wednesday during the month of July. We were ready to showcase at our iconic Showboat stage in June but quickly shifted gears to bring you a season virtually.
Thank you to the performers Norine Braun, Land of Deborah, Music with Marni, Story Time with Barry, the Carnival Street band, Andrew (Elton John) Johns, Sunset Chinese Dance Troupe, R Friends, Hamilton Street blues Quartet, Jhoelly Triana and Ilian Varkelov. This group of entertainers are some of the best talent that Canada has to offer and we are so proud that they are part of the Showboat family.
Thank you also to our Showboat volunteers:  Bert Munn, Sheila Kirkby, Mary Maciorowski, Cheryl Lee, Debbie Roche and William Li for your support.  A special thank you to Kyle Vinson for sharing my vision of the Virtual season and technical support and to Richard Lowy for putting together an amazing Showboat fundraiser.
And a big thank you to you, our audience.  The positive comments and donations were the support we needed to continue when things got really difficult.
The grand prize draw donated by the Pinnacle Harbourfront Vancouver for an amazing overnight stay at the hotel was a random number draw from all the names that donated during our season. The winner is Jean Coyle.

If you missed any of the season shows or would like to see them again just click on this link and enjoy:

Stay safe and healthy and I sincerely hope to see you all back at the Kitsilano Showboat stage next year.

The Kitsilano Showboat runs every summer from June to August at Kitsilano Beach. Our mission is two-fold: to provide free multi-cultural entertainment to Vancouver residents and visitors; and to provide a venue for entertainers of all ages and abilities to perform at a world class venue. Kitsilano Showboat has been a Vancouver tradition since 1935 and has had multiple generations of families perform on the Showboat stage. Some performers who got their start on the Showboat stage have even gone on to become world class entertainers!
